The general travel agency Local Travels s.r.o. (“We”, “Us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For this purpose, we use your personal data and process it in accordance with applicable and effective legislation. We take great care to protect your personal information so that we can prevent any unauthorized interference with your privacy.  This Privacy and Cookies Policy sets out the basis on which the personal data collected from you or provided by you to Us, will be processed by Us.       2. WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS, TO WHAT EXTENT AND FOR WHICH PURPOSES?

2.1 We only process those personal data and to the extent that we can provide our services to you, to comply with our legal obligations and to protect our legitimate interests. We collect personal information from our clients, including potential clients who are interested in our services or who have consented to contact them with our services.

2.2 We collect and process some or all of the following types of information from you in the course of your use of the website or providing our services:

(a) Information that you provide by filling in booking forms on the website, via e-mail or phone. This includes information provided at the time of purchasing services, subscribing to a newsletter, or requesting further information or services. 

(b) Specifically, personal details such as name, email address, phone number, dietary requirements, IP addresses or any information input by when using the website, completing our survey forms, using our services.

(c) in respect of the personnel engaged by our suppliers and resellers (or prospective suppliers and resellers), and with whom we come into contact in connection with the relationship between Us and our reseller and supplier, we will process your contact details such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, and any other information that you provide to us.

(d) If you contact Us, We may keep a record of that correspondence.

(e) We may also ask you to complete surveys that We use for research purposes, (although you do not have to respond to them).

(f) Details of your visits to the website including, but not limited to, IP address, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, and the resources that you access. 

(g) When using our online form to book and purchase our products, your name and e-mail address are required from you to enable Us to process your order. Your name and email address is required from you to enable Us to add you to our mailing list. 

(h) We will inform you at the point of collecting information from you, whether you are required to provide the information to Us.

2.3 Uses made of your information

We use information held about you in accordance with the legal bases and for the following purposes:

(a) To carry out any obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and Us. We rely on “performance of a contract with you” as the legal basis for this processing.

(b) Your bookings, after you make a booking with us your personal data will be processed for the purpose of this booking.

(c) To notify you about changes to our services or contact you in the case of issues or emergencies in respect of the tour you have purchased. We rely on “performance of a contract with you” as the legal basis for this processing.

(d) If you are engaged by one of our resellers or suppliers, we may process your data in order to perform our obligations pursuant to a contract with that customer or reseller. Where we do so we rely on “legitimate interest” and the legitimate interest is “carrying out a contract with a reseller or supplier”.

(e) To provide you with our newsletters. We rely on “consent” as the legal basis for this processing.

(f) We rely on your consent as the lawful basis where you have agreed to participate in a survey, and for the processing of such personal information as has been collected through that survey.

(g) To respond to your enquiries. Where you have contacted us via e-mail or telephone we rely on “legitimate interest” and the legitimate interest is “responding and contacting you regarding the enquiries you have made in relation to the services we offer”.

(h) To ensure that content on the website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for the device(s) you use to access and view the website. We rely on “legitimate interest” as the legal basis for this processing, and the legitimate interest is the maintenance and improvement of our website for the benefit of all our users.

We may use information held about you to promote our products and services that may be of interest to you. We will only do this where we reasonably believe that our services may be of interest to you and we rely on “legitimate interest”  to promote our products and services to you.

We routinely disclose your personal data to our third party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (e.g. hotel reservation).

(a) in the event that We sell or buy any services related to your tours, in which case We may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such services

(b) in a case when all or some product-related services are provided by a third party, the personal information we hold about our customers will be passed on to a third party; 

(c) if We are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions; or

(d) to protect Our rights, property, or safety or that of our affiliated entities and our users and any third party We interact with the to provide the website; or

Other than as set out above, and save insofar as is necessary in order for Us to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and Us, We will not share your data with third parties unless We have procured your express consent to do so.

2.6 Payment 

If you purchase our products on our website payment is handled separately and securely through the third parties. We use TransferWise, PayPal and bank transfers as ways of payment. 3.1. Security

We take appropriate measures to ensure that any personal data are kept secure, including security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where We are legally required to do so.

Although We will do our best to protect your personal data, We cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the website; any transmission is at your own risk. 3.3 How long we keep your personal data

We will hold details relating to any purchase you make, such as your name, e-mail address, IP address for 10 years from the date of the transaction.

In instances where you have not completed a transaction We will hold your contact details for 6 months your details were inputted in this respect.

If you are engaged by one of our resellers or suppliers, we will hold your contact details for the period that supplier or reseller is registered with us and for 6 months after.

Where you have contacted us via e-mail and telephone, We will hold your contact and enquiry details for 6 months. 

Where you have participated in our surveys, We will hold your survey details for the period for which you give us consent, or until its withdrawal. 

3.4 Where we store your personal data

All information We hold about you is stored on secure servers.
